This clever interpretation of foyer lighting gives that phrase a whole new meaning. No simple lantern light hanging from the ceiling here. Instead, visitors are treated to a wall of vintage cage lighting in a lovely array of shapes.

A trio of industrial cage lights hangs above this studio work table. What a pleasant environment in which to work.

Polished metal pendant lights hang above this kitchen work island. They’re oversized and hung low for maximum task lighting. Isn’t the subway-tiled alcove the perfect place for an industrial strength range?

In a more refined industrial style, these sleek metal pendants are a great choice above an eat-in kitchen table surrounded by see-through acrylic and metal chairs. Contemporary meets rustic.

What says modern pendant lighting better than unadorned bulbs in minimalist golden sockets hung by bare cords? In a variety of sizes and hung at different heights they’re a very cool addition to this contemporary kitchen.

A single industrial fixture lights this small sleeping space. The hanging light reminds me of those simple metal shop lights seen in garages, workshops and studios around the world. I think it’s a great look in this comfortable bedroom.

Large brushed metal pendants lined with what appears to be a white ceramic material hang in the center of this guesthouse in Australia. It’s a great look.

A Victorian brass desk lamp with an industrial vibe is a perfect addition to a rustic reclaimed wood desk. Metallic grass cloth on the wall behind the lamp looks amazing in the glow of this great light.

Interior & furniture shopping – Bali

Handmade pendant lamps made of copper. Inspired by Tom Dixon?

My boyfriend, Sondre, making sure the local carpenters do a good job on the tables we’ve ordered 😉

Handmade ceramics from Jenggala.

Some of the recycled metal chairs we have ordered. The chairs are handmade at our special requests, and will come in three colors; turquoise, orange and white.

Some cool art for sale at Deus Ex Machinas’ brand store in Canggu.

Bali is a great place for interior and furniture shopping. And since most of the products you find in the stores are also made here in Bali, it is possible to go directly to some of the manufactorers and make your own design. We already have a lot of custom-made furnitures from Bali in our apartment and there is more to come 😉
