Vintage Chesterfield sofas

I bought these Chesterfield sofas at Birkelunden flea-market some weeks ago. I was so afraid that someone else would buy them that I bought them right away without thinking if I really needed them and without discussing it with my live-in boyfriend.
I love my new sofas, but unfortunately my boyfriend hates them. So while they are stored in the basement I am trying to convince him with some inspirational photos.

Me: «Look at the beautiful Chesterfields on these photos! Must be a very comfortable sofa since the dog loves it!»
Him: «We already have a very comfortable sofa.»

Me: «Look!! They even have a Chesterfield sofa in the Humphrey´s Brooklyn loft on Gossip Girl!»
Him: «And so what??»

Hmm.. What to do?

Restored & Modernised Furnitures

Here are some of the furnitures I have worked on and modernised lately. Last week’s treasure hunt resulted in a series of furnitures from the 1920s. I love the fine artwork on old furnitures. All about the details, and high quality materials. I am still working on the dining table that seats up to 16 persons.

French Art Deco – Charlotte Perriand

Every monday there is a big flea and antiques market on the Cours Selaya in Nice.
I bought this french art deco lamp there, designed by Charlotte Perriand for Jumo in the 1930s.
Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) was one of the most innovative and influential furniture designers of the 20th century and is perhaps most known for her collaboration with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret.

Here are some of her furniture designs:

Kelim Love

I bought some kelim pillows at a local market in Istanbul last year and have been looking for more of them since. I recently found some nice ones at Bolia (photo nr 2). Made of antique kelim rugs from Turkey. Now I want more.. kelim rugs, a kelim bag and maybe a chair? Kelim love..
